Season Preview - Season 8 - NL West

Lars the Greek - Cobb Times Herald

NL West

Omaha Sluggers (113-49)
--Last season the Sluggers clubbed their way to a World Series title, and this year the team is still dominating. Lars thinks that with the reigning Cy Young and MVP, the Sluggers will crush their opposition on the way to another divisional title.
Prediction: 115-47 - 1st place

Seattle Seacows (67-95)
--The Seacows are getting better, but nowhere near the level of the Sluggers. Lars predicts that Seattle will lead the charge for second place, and pull it out by a hair over San Diego and San Francisco.
Prediction: 72-90 - 2nd place

San Francisco Blur (60-102)
--Rebuilding is never an easy thing, and San Francisco has inherited a job, although one that is entirely doable. Look for the Blur to improve on last seasons record and make a run at 2nd place in the division.
Prediction: 69-93 - 3rd place

San Diego Small Ballers (68-94)
--If there is a silver lining to being in the same division as the best team in the league, it is that by the time Omaha is bad San Diego should be very good, and ready to put the smack down on the Sluggers. But Lars doesn't see that happening this season.
Prediction: 66-96 - 4th place
