In an announcement that came as a surprise to almost everyone, The_Kid has been named Manager of the Year by the Associated Press. The_Kid, manager of the Charlotte Dogs in the AL of Cobb World, led his team to an 81-81 record and second place finish in the "winnable" AL South, was a surprise pick by the news organization. "I think that he paid off the writers, and coordinated the transfer of a large sum of money into their accounts," said an anonymous source close to the Dogs. The_Kid was unavailable for comment at the time of the award posting, with his agent saying that he was at a charity golf event at Hilton Head.
