The Omaha Sluggers swept the Anaheim Sharks for their first World Series title. The series turned out to be a slugfest with the Anaheim pitching getting shelled in every game. The Omahalic fan contingency was able to witness the sweep at Rosenblatt Stadium, and were thrilled that the Sluggers were able to finish the sweep at home. Star pitcher Kazuhiro Ong won game 4, and was thrilled with the win. "This is a great moment in the history of the Sluggers, and the greatest moment professionally for me. I can't wait to get back on the mound and defend the title," Ong said. Sluggers star slugger Jose Barrios capped off an MVP season by having an outstanding series, and was also vocal in the clubhouse, "This is as sweet or sweeter than my ring from season 1, that team was loaded and expected to win, but Lars the Greek picked us to flame out. Obviously he is an idiot, and we are champs!" The mood over in the visitors clubhouse was somber, and pitcher C.J. Bones spoke for the team, saying, "Loss is nothing else but change, and change is Nature's delight." The final tally was truly delightful for the Sluggers however, and the party is still going on in Omaha.
